Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cube butter (1/4 pound)
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Put popcorn in 15"x10" pan.
In a 3 quart saucepan, bring to boil the sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add baking soda, vanilla, and salt. Stir well. MIXTURE WILL FOAM.
Carefully pour over popcorn and stir. Spread popcorn out in pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Stir again and bake for 20 more minutes. Stir and remove to a sheet of foil. Let cool.
