Saute'ed Brown Sugar Apples


Sweet and tart side dish, perfect with pork.

  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 4 Royal Gala apples, peeled, large dice
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 T water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla


Servings 4


Step 1

Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Melt butter and brown sugar in a skillet over medium heat, cook 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally . Add apples and cook until tender. Whisk cornstarch and water together, pour over apples and cook until thickened. Remove from hear and stir in vanilla.
