Potatoes with Cream and Cheese

Ingredients
- 5 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 clove garlic
- Dash nutmeg
- Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup swiss cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Place cream, butter, garlic and nutmeg in saucepan. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes or until cream is reduced and has thickened slightly.
Butter a small casserole and place layers of 1/3 potatoes, 1/3 combined cheeses. Season with salt and pepper and dot with butter.
Add cream mixture.
Bake 300, covered
Bake 1-2 hours
Alternate Cooking method
In large saucepan combine sliced potatoes, cream, sliced garlic, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to boil then reduce heat to simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes.
Pour 1/2 mixture in buttered pan, add half the cheese, add remaining potatoes and cheese. Cook 30-45 minutes
