Grilled Shrimp With Ginger Marinade

  • 2 lbs Large shrimp shells and tails on
  • 2 " chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 2 large shallots chopped
  • 4 cloves smashed garlic
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 1/4 tsp coarse ground black pepper
  • lime slices for garnish
  • diced green onions for garnish



Step 1

Place shallots, lime juice, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sugar in blender. Blend until smooth. Add scallions, peanut oil and pepper.

Pour marinade over shrimp and let sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Grill on medium hot coals 1 1/2 to 2 minutes perside. Garnish with chopped scallions and lime wedges.
