Cherry Cobbler Bars

  • Icing:
  • 1 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 Cups Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Can (21 oz.) Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Milk
  • 1/8 tsp. Vanilla



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture. Spread 3 cups of batter into an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Spread the pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over the top. Bake 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; stir until smooth. Drizzle over bars.
