  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 2/3 c. powdered sugar



Step 1

Cut flour and butter together to form a fine crumb. Pat into ungreased 8x8 pan and bake for 10 min. at 350.
Beat together eggs, brown sugar, baking powder, vanilla and nuts.
Spread over baked mixture and bake 20 min. more.
Mix until creamy-lemon rind, lemon juice, and powdered sugar.
Spread thin mixture over baked product as it comes from oven.
Cool before cutting.
