Pie-Lemon Meringue

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons flour
- a "shake" of salt
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 (about) teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Place water in heavy (thick) pan.
Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Separate 3 eggs and beat(Save egg whites to make meringue).
Pour into pan of water and stir.
add dry ingredients and stir.
Cook on burner until thick while adding butter and lemon juice. (test strength of lemon juice by tasting filling to get your desired lemon taste.)
Pour filling into cooled, baked pie shell.
Top with your favorite meringue recipe.
