Quick Tomato Sauce

  • 2 cans (15 oz) no-salt-added crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) no-salt-added diced tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
  • pinch each salt and crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar



Step 1

In large saucepan combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes. Makes about 5 cups.
