Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1 each egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups oatmeal quick or old fashioned, uncooked
- 1 cup raisins

Preparation
Step 1
HEAT oven to 350.
BEAT together margarine and sugar until creamy. Add applesauce, egg and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, mix well. Stir in oats and raisings. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 11-13 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on sheet before transferring to rack.
