Ingredients
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 3 c. milk
- 2 tsp. sage
- 2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Saute butter and onion. Add flour. Add the broth and milk; cook until thickened. Add sage, then cheese. Parboil small pieces of broccoli and add to soup after it is cooked.
