  • 3 cups yellow onions thin, half-circle slices
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a one-quart casserole dish.

Saute onions slowly in butter until carmelized.

Mix eggs in blender, adding dry ingredients until incorporated.

Blend in cream by hand.

Place onions in casserole dish, cover with cream mixture, and bake for 45 minutes.
