Orange Lemon Citrus Bread

  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tbs. plus 1/2 tsp. Grated Lemon Peel, divided
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Orange Peel, grated
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Orange Marmalade, warmed (microwave on high 15 seconds)



Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9" x 5" loaf pan. Combine milk, oil, egg and vanilla in large bowl; mix well. Add flour, sugar, 1 Tbs. lemon peel, baking powder, orange peel and salt; stir just until blended. Batter will be thin. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Meanwhile, stir remaining 1/2 tsp lemon peel into warm marmalade. Remove bread from pan to wire rack; spread marmalade mixture over top of bread. Cool completely before serving.
