Ingredients

  • 4-5 Macintosh apples, peeled and sliced
  • 4-5 tbs sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

grease and flour 9 or 10 inch tube pan
mix apples with sugar and cinnamon and put aside
beat eggs gradually adding 2 cups sugar, then beat in oil
sift together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to egg mixture in small amounts alternately with orange juice. add vanilla
pour half of batter in pan, alternate apples with batter, ending with apples
on top

bake at 350 for 1.5 hours
