Corn Chowder (slow cooker)

It's possible to make this on the stove without a slow cooker. Modify as needed.

Ingredients
- 6 ears of fresh corn or 3 cups frozen corn
- 4 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled & diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 T unsalted butter

Step 1
Remove corn kernels from cobs. Reserve cobs. Place cobs, corn kernels & all other ingredients except milk and butter in a slow cooker.
Cook on high for 7-9 hours.
Remove corn cobs.
Puree half of the soup.
Return pureed soup to slow cooker. Add milk & butter.
Continue cooking over high until warm - about 15-30 minutes.
