Caramel Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • TOPPING:
  • 6 Apples (I used Fuji apples)
  • 2 T Lemon Juice
  • 1 T Flour
  • 1/2 C Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 C Caramel Sauce
  • 1 C Oats
  • 1/2 C Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 C Flour
  • 1/2 C slivered Almonds
  • 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 C butter

Preparation

Step 1

Core, peel and slice apples. Drizzle half the caramel over your pie shell in dish. 
Mix apples with all the rest of the ingredients including the rest of the caramel sauce.  Pour into deep dish pie plate.  (I think it could use a smidgen more caramel)
 
Cover topping, cutting in the butter until it's a crumbly mixture.

350 for 50 to 60 minutes.  This will make 1 very large pie or 2 smaller ones.
