Ingredients
- Biscuits:
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes

Step 1
Method:
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
Grate cold butter and combine evenly with flour mixture.
Stir in grated cheese.
Combine buttermilk and egg; stir into flour mixture.
Work with hands to form soft dough.
Drop by spoonfuls (rounded tablespoon)on a large parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 400°F for about 10-12 minutes.
Combine topping ingredients, and brush over hot biscuits.
Yield: 24
