How to Make Crab Legs
- 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 lb frozen king crab legs, thawed
- Melted butter, if desired
Fill large stockpot or Dutch oven half full with water; add seafood seasoning and salt. Heat to boiling.
Add crab legs. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or just until heated. Remove with tongs to serving platter. Serve warm with melted butter.
Plan on serving 1 lb of crab legs per person. If you’re serving a larger group, this recipe is easy to double or even triple, but don’t crowd the stockpot; cook the crab legs in batches.
Frozen crab legs are typically precooked, so you’re simply reheating them in the boiling water. Be careful not to overcook them, as they will lose their delicate flavor.
Add some finely chopped garlic to the melted butter for extra flavor.
