Pan Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Bearnaise Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 1/4 lb beef tenderloin, trimmed
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 pkg Knorr Bearnaise Sauce mix

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 with rack in bottom position.
Heat oil in an oven-safe saute pan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Season tenderloin with salt and pepper. Sear tenderloin until brown on all sides, 5-7 minutes. Transfer pan to the oven on the bottom rack; roast until an instant-read thermometer inserted in tenderloin registers 130 for medium-rare, 10-15 minutes. Remove pan from oven, transfer tenderloin to a plate, tent with foil and let rest while making the sauce.
Prepare the sauce following package directions.
Slice tenderloin into 12 slices and serve with sauce.
