Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion; minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic; minced
- 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes in juice
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 teaspoon old bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- Salt,pepper,tabasco sauce to taste
- 1 pound large shrimp; peeled, deveined

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a saute pan over medium. Stir in onion and saute 2 minutes. Add
garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute.
Add tomatoes, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, soy sauce, bay
leave, Old Bay, oregano and thyme; bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to
medium-low and cook to thicken, 10 - 15 minutes.
Stir in butter and lemon juice until butter is melted. Season sauce with
salt, pepper and Tabasco. Add shrimp to sauce and simmer until cooked
through, 1 - 2 minutes per side.
