Ingredients
- 4 to 6 bacon slices
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 (1 ounce) envelope Ranch-style dressing mix
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (optional)
- 1 clove garlic (mince before adding to blender)
- 1 large iceberg lettuce, cut into 4 wedges

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; remove bacon, and drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tsp. drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon, and set aside.
2. Saute onion in hot drippings in skillet over medium heat 10 minutes or until tender and lightly browned. Remove from heat; cool.
3. Process buttermilk and next 4 ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Add onion and process.
4. Top each lettuce wedge with dressing; sprinkle with bacon.
