Southern Buttermilk Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Grease bottom pan with cooking spray.

In large bowl, add and stir all ingrediens until well mixed. Beat vigorously 30 seconds. Pour into pan.

Bake about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and tookpick inserted in center comes out clean.
