Ingredients

  • 2 pound bag frozen hash browns (thawed)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 2 cartons sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) package grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed

Preparation

Step 1

Mix in a 9z13 inch dish.

Melt 1/2 stick butter with small chopped onion in skillet. Saute onion and mix with the hash browns, soup, sour cream and cheese.

Topping:
Melt 1/2 stick butter and mix with 1 cup crushed cornflakes.
Sprinkle cornflakes and butter mixture on top of casserole.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
