  • 2/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1-1/2 lb chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 can (14-1/2 oz) chicken broth
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 3 Tbs. butter
  • 3 Tbs. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1-1/2 cup milk
  • 1-1/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 8 oz noodles


Cooking time 30mins


Step 1

In a large nonstick skillet; saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add chicken; Cook until no longer pink. Add broth, carrots and celery. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover simmer 10-15 minutes.

In a saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted. Pour over chicken mixture. Add noodles; mix well.

Transfer to a 3 quart baking dish. Bake uncovered @ 350 for 15-20 minutes.
