Ingredients

  • 1 C Mashed Pot
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1 C shortening part butter
  • 1 C sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 9 C Flout
  • 2 C Pot Water
  • 2 pks dry yeast
  • 2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Work mashed potatoes into flour until smooth (use ricer if possible). Then add dry yeast. Heat water, shortening, sugar and slat until shortening is melted. Add beaten eggs. Cool add to flour mixture, mix weel then knead until smooth.

Bake 350 F 25-30 until golden brown

Nut Mixture:

Grind walnuts and pecans together, use more pecans as the walnuts have more oil. Add about 1/2 c Sugar and evaporated milk. Add milk a little at a time until the mixture becomes smooth that you can spread like butter.

Roll out the dough, not too thin and put a thin layer or butter then nut mixture and roll. Place on un-greased cookie sheet.
