Preparation
Step 1
Thaw 1 loaf bread dough according to package instructions. Roll dough on a floured board into a 12 x 9 inch rectangle. Brush lightly with butter.
Toss bacon, cheeses and basil together in a small dish. Sprinkle over dough to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Drizzle with remaining butter.
Starting at a short side, roll dough jelly roll fashion. Put seam side down into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Cover with a damp towel. Put in a warm spot and let rise until doubled. 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Heat oven to 350. Remove towel from bread and bake until golden brown, 45 - 50 min. Cool in pan 10 minutes, so butter from bottom of pan is absorbed into bread. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack 20 minutes longer.
