Green Beans with Blue Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 pound green beans or two 9-ounce pkgs frozen French Style green beans
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or Gorgonzola cheese
- 1/2 cup walnut halves, toasted

Preparation
Step 1
Boil beans cover and steam for 18-22 minutes or till crisp-tender. drain. (or cook frozen beans according to package directions and drain.)
Cook bacon in a skillet till crisp. Drain the bacon, reserving drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon; set aside.
Cook onion in reserved drippings over medium heat till tender. Stir in lemon juice, add green beans and toss to coat. Heat through. Add crumbled blue cheese and crumbled bacon. Heat and stir 1 minute more or till cheese begins to melts. Sprinkle with walnuts. Transfer to serving bowl.
