Ingredients

  • 1⅔

    cup water

  • 1

    tb. plus 1 tsp. butter

  • 1

    small bay leaf

  • ¼

    tsp. white pepper

  • 1⅓

    cups white rice

  • ¼

    cup chopped celery

  • ¼

    cup chopped onion

  • ¼

    cup chopped red bell pepper

  • ½

    tsp minced garlic

Directions

1. Bring the water, 1 tb. butter, bay leaf,and the white pepper to a boil in saucepan. 2. Add the rice cover and lower the heat to simmer and cook 20 minutes until the rice is tender. 3. Saute the vegetables in the 1 tsp. butter until tender. 4. Stir into the cooked rice and serve.
