HCG Diet (P2/3) Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1 cup fat free chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Butter Flavor extract
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (the finer the better)
- 1/4 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
Combine the broth, extract, juice and garlic powder in a sauce pan and gently heat. Remove from heat, then scoop out 1/4 teaspoon of Xanthan gum, but do not add it all at once. While whisking, sprinkle the xanthan gum powder in a little bit at a time. It may take a few minutes and it may appear lumpy, but keep whisking for a couple more minutes, then let it sit. It will continue to absorb liquid and will thicken.
