Tuna with wasabi mayonnaise

Prepare in advance and finish the dish in a flash. Fresh taste with a bite! Adjust the amount of wasabi to suit. Serve with a julienned salad.
Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 2 large or 4 smaller tuna steaks
- 1 tbsp japanese soy
- 1 tbsp veg oil
- 1/2 - 1 tsp wasabi paste
- 1 tsp wasabi paste
- 1 tsp water
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove, minced

Step 1
Make the sauce: mix the everything together whisking thoroughly to make it slightly 'foamy', cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes or so for the flavors to blend.
Mix the tuna dressing ingredients. Brush the prepared dressing liberally onto both sides of each tuna steak. Put the steaks onto a hot griddle pan or grill. Cooking time obviously depends on the thickness of the tuna, but doesn't take more than a minute or two so keep an eye on the steaks - you want them somewhere between raw and just cooked in the middle.
Plate the tuna, and drizzle liberally with the wasabi mayonnaise (give it another whisk before serving).
