Ingredients

  • 2 Onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 ) 6-7 LB Turkey Breast or Turkey Half
  • 1/2 cup minced Thyme
  • 1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp dried Parsley
  • 1/2 Tbsp Celery flakes
  • 1/2 Tbsp Mustard seed

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange the onion in a thin layer on the bottom of 1 6-7 quart slow cooker.

Make a small slit in the skin of the turkey breast and spread the thyme between the skin and meat. Smooth skin back onto the turkey.

In a small bowl, stir the pepper, salt, parsley, celery flakes and mustard seed. Rub the spice mixture into the skin of the turkey.

Place turkey in the slow cooker on top of the onion layer. Cook for 8 hours. Remove the skin and onions and discard them before serving the turkey.
