Ingredients

  • 4 medium round red or white potatoes (1 1/3 lbs), cut into 1/4 inch pieces
  • 3 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 white or cider vinegar

Step 1

1. Cut potatoes into 1/4-inch slices. Cook and drain bacon; refrigerate. Mix all ingredients except bacon in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.

2. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until potatoes are tender. Stir in bacon.
