California Broccoli Salad
delicious side dish for summer barbeques.
- 4 c broccoli trimmed, cut up fresh
- 1/2 lb bacon cut in 1" pieces and fried crisp
- 1 c sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 3.75 oz pkg toasted sunflower kernels
- 1/2 c raisins
- 1/2 c red onion chopped
- 3/4 c mayonnaise
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/4 c sour cream
- 2 T lemon juice
In a large salad bowl, place broccoli, bacon, mushrooms, sunflower kernels, raisins, and onion. Gently toss.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir mayo, sugar, sour cream, and lemon juice until blended. Pour over salad and toss until blended. Cover and chill 1 to 3 hours to blend flavors.
