Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups peeled and sliced carrots
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 16 oz. can cut green beans, drained
- 1 16 oz. can corn drained
- 3 stalks celery sliced
- 1 46 oz can picante v8 tomato juice
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp celery seed
- salt and pepper to taste

Step 1
cook ground beef in a large saucepan until brown, about 10-15 minutes. drain the fat and mix in remaining ingredients. bring to a boil; reduce heat. simmer covered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. cool and freeze.
to prepare for serving, thaw stew. then bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
