Ingredients
- garnish:
- 1/4 Cup Green Onions finely sliced + 2 TBL for sauce
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 8 oz container plain yogurt- divided
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 egg white
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 1 teas dried oregano leaves, divided
- 1/2 teas salt
- 1/8 teas ground black pepper
- 6 wheat pita bread rounds
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- cucumber

Preparation
Step 1
Combine onions, ground turkey, 1/4 cup yogurt, bread crumbs, egg white, garlic, 3/4 teas. oregano, salt & pepper, mix.
For sauce stir in remaining 2 TBL green onion 1/4 teas. oregano, and some chopped cucumber and set aside.
Form 6 oval patties from turkey mixture, about 1/2" thick. Place 2 TBL olive oil in pan. Heat over medium heat until hot. Cook Patties 10-12 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in the center, turning once.
Heat pitas in a separate pan.
Serve with sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers.
