Lorraine's Crisco Banana Spice Cake
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup crisco
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 2/3 cup mashed bananas
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon all spice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
In seperate bowl add = flour,salt,soda,baking powder,cloves,nutmeg,all spice and cinnamon,set aside.
In mixer = add sugar and crisco mix untill smooth, add eggs one at a time mixing well , add molasses and bananas.
Add to sugar mixture dry indgrents and milk starting with dry ingredients and alternate milk.
Bake 375* for 35 minutes.Check with cake tester.
Frost with Lorraine's brown sugar fudge ,not cooking as long as for fudge.
