Ingredients
- cranberry layer;
- 2 envelopes knox unflavored gelatin
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup ginger ale, chilled
- 1 1/2 cups ground cranberries
- *or 1 can(16oz) cranberry sauce, then decrease sugar to 1/2 cup.

- 1/3 cup hiram walker cranberry cordial
- 3 cups dairy sour cream
- 2 1/2 cups lemon or orange sherbert, softened
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts.

Preparation
Step 1
cranberry layer;
medium bowl, mix gelatin with sugar, add boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved. stir in ginger ale and cranberries. turn into 10 inch fluted tube pan, chill until almost set.
creamy layer;
in large bowl, mix gelatin with sugar;add boiling water and stir till dissolved. with wire whisk or beater, blend in cranberry cordial, sour cream and sherbert, let stand until mixture is slightly thickened, about 1 minute, fold in walnuts. spoon onto almost set cranberry layer, chill till firm.
