- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 1/2 cups shredded coconut
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- Add 1/3 cup currants and 1 tsp lemon zest to make Lemon-Currant Macaroons

Preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets well
Mix the flour, coconut and salt together in a bowl. Pour in the vanilla and condensed milk and stir well to make a thick batter.
Drop the batter by quarter-cupfuls onto the greased cookie sheet, allowing an inch of space between cookies.
Bake until golden brown (20 minutes). Remove from pan at once and cool on racks.
Melk chocolate for dipping the cookies. Allow chocolate to completely cool once cookies are dipped.
