- 3/4 pound boneless beef top round steak
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast half (about 1 1/2 pound)
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves or dried basil leaves, crushed

- 12 oz mushrooms, trimmed & quartered
- 32 oz prepared tomato sauce, preferably with no sugar added
- 2 c red wine

- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 (6.5 ounce) cans chopped clams with juice
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
