Patriotic Marshmallow Bark

Line an 8x11 or 9x13 glass dish or a half-sized cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil
- 1 bag white chocolate chips {12 oz}
- 1 bag mini marshmallows or these Jet-Puffed Star Marshmallows {found at Walmart!}
- 1 about 1 TBSP shortening {optional, but it really makes the melting process easier!}
- 1/4 cup mini M&M's {I used just red and blue...kid's are great at separating the colors!}
- Patriotic sprinkles or other fun sprinkles for decor on top!
- Star cookie cutters and sticks if you want to go that route. {Honestly, cutting them up into squares is just so much easier, but my kids adored the stars. I'll let you make the call!}
Creamy Farfalle with Salmon and Peas

- Vegetable oil cooking spray
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
- 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, divided
- 6 ounces farfalle pasta
- 1 1/2 cups frozen peas
- 1 1/2 cups 1 percent milk,divided
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 ounces Neufchaåtel
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, divided
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Fruit & Nut Crescent Rolls

Lay out the dough (one at a time)
- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- Cinnamon sugar
- Raisins or cranraisins, cranberries, apricots, chopped fine
- Crushed nuts like pecans
- Chocolate chips
Hand Tossed Pizza Salad

1. In a small bowl whisk the tomato paste with 2 tablespoons water until smooth
- Dressing:
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon each, garlic powder, dried oregano, and sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon each, salt and pepper
- Salad:
- 4 generous cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 ounce (16 slices) turkey pepperoni (like Hormel)
- 1/3 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup halved cherry (or fresh chopped) tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil (optional)
- 1/4 cup croutons (cheese and garlic flavored work well)
- 2 tablespoons fresh grated Parmesan
Asian Coleslaw

Stir together mayonnaise, stir fry sauce and soy sauce in medium bowl
- 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons Original Stir Fry Sauce-Marinade
- 1/2 teaspoon Lite Soy Sauce
- 3 cups tri-color coleslaw mix
Starbird Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Crispy Oven-Fried Chicken

Preheat oven to 375. Line a baking sheet with foil; grease foil
- 2 c bread cubes or crackers
- 1 tbsp dried parsley or 3 tbsp chopped fesh parsley
- 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (2 1/2 lb) chicken, quartered
- 2 tsp olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp paprika

- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 24 whole graham crackers
Nut-Crusted Chicken Cutlets with Lemon and Thyme

Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees
- 4 to 8 chicken breasts (6 to 8 ounces each), trimmed of excess fat (see note)
- Kosher salt
- 1 cup roughly chopped almonds
- 4 4 (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cut into 4 pieces
- 1 3 shallot, minced (about 3 tablespoons)
- 1 cup panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs)
- 2 1 4 grated zest from 1 lemon, zested lemon cut into 4 wedges
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Barbecue Burgers

In a large bowl combine ground beef, onion, garlic, grill seasoning and barbecue sauce
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/4 c. grated onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced or grated
- 1 TBS grill seasoning
- 1/2- 3/4 c. barbecue sauce
- Hamburger buns, optional
- Sliced onion, optional
