The Sunshine Bowl

In a large bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water
- 2 packages (4 servings each) orange-flavored gelatin
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
- 1 can (11 ounces) mandarin orange sections, drained
- 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained and juice reserved
- 1 pound cake (10 3/4 ounces), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 package (4-serving size) instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 3/4 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
Strawberry-Banana Cheesecake Salad

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, yogurt, pudding and cool whip until creamy
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 16 oz of vanilla yogurt
- 1 (8 oz) tub of cool whip, Thawed
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package cheesecake flavor instant pudding or pie filling mix
- 1/2 bag of miniature marshmallows
- 3 pints strawberries, sliced
- 4 bananas, sliced
- 1 container raspberries (optional)
Chicken Legs wtih Honey-Mustard Crumb Coating *(GOOD)*

Whisk together mustard, honey, lemon juice, oregano and cloves in shallow pie plate
- 1/4 cup Dijon-style mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon leaf oregano, crumbled
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 whole chicken legs with thighs (about 2 1/2 pounds), skinned and cut halfway through thigh-leg joint
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 4 teaspoons vegetables oil
Mom's Homemade Chicken Soup

In 5-quart casserole, combine chicken, celery, bay leaves, peppercorns, onion and water Cover with lid
- 2 to 2 1/2 pound chicken parts
- 3 stalks celery, cut up
- 2 bay leaves, crushed
- 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons peppercorns or pepper to taste
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8 cups hot water
- 2 carrots, shredded (about 1 cup)
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups fine egg noodles
- 2 teaspoons salt
Sichuan Beef and Peppers

Cut beef along the grain into roughly 2-inch-wide strips
- 12 oz lean and trimmed beef flank steak
- 1 Tbsp minced ginger
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp dry sherry
- 1 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp Sriracha hot chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp fat-free, reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp peanut oil
- 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 2 cups orange and red bell pepper cut into 1/4-inch-wide strips
- 1/2 tsp salt
Hawaiian Fried Rice

In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil and hot sauce
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tapatio or Sriracha), more or less to taste
- 1 tablespoon vegetable, canola or peanut oil
- 2 cups cooked, chopped ham
- 1 red bell pepper, stemmed, seeded and chopped
- 6 green onions, chopped, white and green parts separated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 5 cups cooked rice, white or brown, cold
- 3 large eggs
- 1-2 cups pineapple pieces
Saucy Pork Ribs

Cut ribs apart; sprinkle 1 teaspoon salt evenly over ribs, and set aside
- 4 pounds country-style pork ribs, trimmed
- 2 teaspoons salt, divided
- 1/4 cup dried minced onion
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 (3.9-ounce) cup peach applesauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
- 1 tablespoon steak sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Baby Back Ribs with Honey BBQ Sauce

- 1 rack of pork baby back spareribs

- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder and Tabasco sauce
