Lemon-Poppyseed Jumbos

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Icing:
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 lemon (you will need 2 teaspoons of the zest and 1/4 cup juice)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk (reserve white for frosting)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons poppyseeds
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg white (from above)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- Pinch cream of tartar
- Pinch salt
Chicken Deluxe Casserole

Cook egg noodles according to package directions, omitting the salt
- 1 (8-ounce) package medium egg noodles
- 1 (3 to 3 1/2-pound) broiler-fryer, cut up
- 1/4 plus 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 3 tablespoons sherry
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried whole marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 (6-ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausages

- 2 packages (16 ounces each) miniature smoked sausage links
- 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
- 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
Snow-Capped Tree Cookies

1 Heat oven to 375°F. Grate 2 oz of the white chocolate
- 6 oz white chocolate baking bar
- 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) sugar cookie mix
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 7 drops green food color
- 24 thin stick pretzels, broken in half
- 1 teaspoon shortening
Macadamia-Coconut Meltaways

Pulse macadamias and 1/4 cup of the sugar in food processor until nuts are chopped fine (do not over process)
- 1 cup macadamia nuts
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, plus extra for dusting
- 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut (about 3 ounces)
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Chocolate Praline Cake

Place rack in center of oven and preheat oven to 325 degrees
- For the praline:
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
- 1/4 cup heavy (whipping) cream
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- For the cake:
- 1 package (18.25 to 26.2 ounces) chocolate cake mix
- 1 package (3.9 to 4.09) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 to 1 1/3 cups water (see note above)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- Topping:
- 1 3/4 cups heavy (whipping) cream
- 2 tablespoons, or to taste, confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated chocolate or miniature chocolate chips, if desired

- 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) oatmeal cookie mix
- 1/2 cup crushed gingersnap cookies
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup cold butter or margarine
- Filling:
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream
- 2 eggs
- Toppings:
- 1/3 cup chocolate topping
- 1/3 cup caramel topping
