Black-Bottom Banana Bars

Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp each baking powder and baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Apple Cinnamon Scones

1) In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and spice
- Scones
- 2 3/4 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Apple Pie Spice or ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) cold butter
- 3/4 cup chopped fresh apple, in 1/2" pieces (about half a medium apple); leave the skin on, if you like
- 3/4 cup cinnamon chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened preferred (Note: use 3/4c if making free form scones)
- Topping
- 3 tablespoons coarse white sparkling sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Butter Pecan Cookies

This is salty and sweet
- Dough:
- 1 1/3 cups pecan halves
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp espresso powder (optional)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp butterscotch, vanilla-butternut, or butter-rum flavor
- 1 tsp vinegar, cider or white
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups flour, all purpose or gluten-free
- 1 1/3 cups butterscotch chips
- Coating:
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 1/4 tsp salt
Rhubarb Peach Crisp

Preheat oven to 375. Place a piece of foil on the bottom rack to catch any drippings
- Filling:
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 TB cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 lb rhubarb, chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 lb peaches, peel on and sliced into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces
- 1 TB lime juice
- Topping:
- Use your favorite streusel topping.
Peanut butter Banana Muffins

In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients
- Topping:
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup each fat free milk and mashed bananas
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup dry roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Candied Tomatoes

Donut Muffins

Like an old-fashioned cake donut
- Topping:
- 12 TB butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten (at room temp)
- 1 cup milk (at room temp)
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 TB butter, melted
Avocado Ranch

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until creamy, scraping down the sides occasionally
- 1 ripe medium avocado
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 2 TB each parsley and dill
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp each white vinegar and smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp each onion powder, salt & pepper

Mix yeast, sugar and water in large mixing bowl
- 1 TB active dry yeast (1 pkg)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups potato water (water used to boil potatoes) @ 110 degrees
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs at room temp
- 2/3 cup butter at room temp (1 1/3 sticks)
- 1 cup lukewarm mashed potatoes
- 5 - 7 cups flour
Cranberry Relish Mold

- 2 TB lemon juice
