Shortbread Cookies

Add sugar, corn starch, flour and salt to a large mixing bowl
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups corn starch (The amount of corn starch looks insane-- it’s accurate, try not to second-guess it)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 lb. butter, at room temperature
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
London Broil

Cut 1/4″ slits into the meat, six slits or so per side
- 1.5 lb London Broil
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon whole peppercorns, crushed
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Mayan sweet onion, cut into large pieces

Overstuffed Grilled Veggie Hoagie

Preheat grill to medium-high heat
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 eggplant, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
- 2 portobello mushroom caps
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and quartered
- 1 red onion, cut into 3/4-inch-thick slices
- 1/2 (16-ounce) jar Italian mix giardiniera, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup pitted green olives, chopped
- 6 slices provolone cheese (6 ounces)

- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (20-ounce) packages refrigerated homestyle sliced potatoes
Malted Butterscotch Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered malted milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup shortening, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Chicken Creole

In a large saucepan, saute the green peppers, onion, celery and garlic in 2 teaspoons oil until tender
- 2 medium green peppers, chopped
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 teaspoons canola oil, divided
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh oregano or 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed

1 Heat oil in 4-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 bag (16 ounces) coleslaw mix
- 1 bag (8 ounces) fresh bean sprouts
- 1 package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 1/4 cups Bisquick® Original baking mix
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 8 green onions, chopped (1/2 cup)
- Additional hoisin sauce
Scream Cheese Brownies

Mix by hand your favorite brownie mix
- 1 brownie mix with ingredients required in mix (I like Betty Crocker's Triple Chunk Supreme or use half of this homemade brownie recipe)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 5 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons flour
- orange food coloring (optional)
Buttercream Frosting

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter–softened–room temperature
- 1 1/2 -2 cups powdered sugar/confectioners’ sugar/icing sugar
- 1-2 Tablespoons milk–room temperature
