- 6 small potatoes, diced
- 4 large carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced

- 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup uncooked barley
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 pinch dried thyme

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

- 2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 TBL Worcestershire sauce

- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 package onion mushroom dry soup mix

- dollop of sour cream
- 4 oz cream cheese

- Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 to 2 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion, chopped

- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water

Apple Slab Pie

1. Make the Crust: Whisk together the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl
- For the Crust:
- 3 3/4 (470 grams) cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups (340 grams) unsalted butter, very cold
- 3/4 cup ice water
- For the Filling:
- 3 1/2 to 4 pounds Granny Smith apples (about 8 medium apples), peeled, cored and chopped into 1/2-inch chunks
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

Butternut Squash Soup

Preheat oven to 375 Cut squash in half lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds
- 1 medium butternut squash (about 2 1/4 pounds)
- Nonstick vegetable spray
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 TBL freshly grated ginger (optional)
- 3 TBL unsalted butter
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1-2 cups of water, as needed
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 TBL honey
- 1/4 cup cream

- 1 tablespoon minced garlic

- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup fat-free, lower-sodium chicken broth
- 1/3 cup chopped green onions
