AUNT MARY’S HICKORY NUT CAKE

Stir in 1 c chopped hickory nuts
- Beat in 2 eggs til creamy. Add alternately dry and wet ingredients:
- Cream 1/2 c Crisco and 1 1/2 c sugar
- 2 1/2 c flour, 3 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c milk, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
CREAM CHEESE MINTS

Roll into small balls. Press flat with fork dipped in granulated sugar
- Mix in mixer:
- 3 oz cream cheese at room temperature
- 4 drops food coloring
- 1 tsp flavoring (butter rum)
- 1 T milk
- Add 1 lb 10X sugar
PICKLED EGGS

Drain liquid from beets. Cook liquid, sugar & vinegat to boil
- 15 oz can beets
- 12 hard boiled eggs
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/2 c vinegar
WHITE CHOCOLATE CHEX MIX

Melt chocolate (microwave & stir every 30 mintues, careful not to burn)
- 3 c Rice Chex, Crispix, other
- 3 c Cheerios
- 2 c pretzels
- 2 c cashews or peanuts
- 12 oz M&M’s
- 1 lb white chocolate
CATHY’S BBQ

Saute beef. Add onion and pepper—cook until tender
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 pepper, chopped
- 3 T brown sugar
- 6 oz tomato paste + 1 can water or 6 oz tomato sauce
- Garlic salt
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 T chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/3 c ketchup
Mexican Trash

Preheat your oven to 350. Spray a 2 quart casserole dish with nonstick spray
- 1 bag 1 bag Nacho Doritos, crushed.
- 2 C 2C shredded chicken
- 2 C 2C shredded cheese--or more (I always use more!!)
- 1 Can 1 Can Cream of chicken soup
- 1 Can 1 Can ro'tel tomatoes
- 1/2 C 1/2C sour cream
- 1/2 C 1/2C milk
- 1/2 package 1/2 package taco seasoning (or more if you'd like)
DIPPING CHOCOLATE FOR FRUIT

In medium saucepan stir corn syrup and cream
- 2/3 c Karo light or dark
- 1/2 c heavy or whipping cream
- 1 package (8 oz) Bakers chocolate
- fresh fruit
CHEESECAKE

Have all ingredients at room temperature
- 1 1/4 c graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 c melted butter
- 1/2 c sugar
- Bake 350, 10-12. Remove and cool
- 20 oz cream cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1 c sugar
- juice of 1 lemon
- 7 T heavy cream

CRAB SOUP

Add 2 c half and half, 3 T Old Bay, ½ tsp ground mustard, ¼ tsp celery seed, 1 c whipping cream
- Blend 3 T flour and 1.25 oz Hollandaise sauce. Add 2 c half and half. Cook over medium heat until thick.
