- 2 T. coconut oil
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 ” piece of fresh ginger, grated
- 2 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
- 5 c. homemade chicken broth
- 1/2 t. crushed red pepper flakes
- 4 oz. shitake mushrooms, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 c. greens (chopped spinach, bok choy, and/or broccoli)
- 2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
- 1 (13.5 oz.) can of coconut milk
- 1/4 c. tamari or soy sauce

- For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 3 Tbsp tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar (yes, it's Whole30-compliant)
- 2 Tbsp minced fresh garlic
- 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger (use a microplane grater)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- For the meat:
- 2 lbs ground dark meat turkey (or chicken)
- 1/2 cup fine diced sweet onion
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 Tbsp arrowroot (optional, to thicken sauce)
- Accompaniments:
- Bibb or Butter Leaf lettuce
- Shredded carrot
- Sliced green onions
- Diced red pepper
- Cashew pieces
