Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cream together 1 cup butter and 2/3 cup sugar.
- Beat in 1 egg.
- Combine and add: 1 tsp vanilla and 2 – ½ cups sifted flour.
- Mix until ingredients are well blended. Chill dough for 3 – 4 hours before rolling.

- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
