ENGLISH TOFFEE BARS

Beat butter and brown sugar until light and creamy
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, plus extra for preparing pan
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 (7-ounce) milk chocolate bar, broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered or sliced almonds
BOSTON LETTUCE SALAD WITH RADISHES

Combine lettuce and radishes in a bowl
- 6 cups tightly packed torn Boston lettuce
- 2/3 cup sliced radishes
- 2 Tbsps white wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp pepper
SPICED CHOCOLATE MOLTEN CAKES

In a microwave, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dry red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons egg yolk
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Additional confectioners' sugar
EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Combine granulated sugar and cocoa in a 2-quart saucepan
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup nuts, chopped
- 2 to 2-1/4 cups powdered sugar
EASY BEEF AND RICE STEW

Mix flour, salt and pepper in large bowl
- 2 Tbsps flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 pound boneless top round, cut into 3/4-inch chunks
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 2 medium carrots, diagonally sliced
- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 can (14.5 oz) whole tomatoes, undrained, coarsely chopped
- 1 can (10 1/4 oz) beef gravy
- 1/4 cup burgundy or other dry red wine
- 1 1/2 cups Minute Original rice, uncooked

Cook the ground round in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble
- 1 pound ground round
- 5 cups water
- 4 cups chopped green cabbage (about 1 pound)
- 3 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 Tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsps garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 tsps pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- 3 (15 oz) cans kidney beans, drained

- 1 medium-size onion, finely chopped
- 3 Tbsps butter
- 2 cups thinly sliced mushrooms (about 8 oz)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups 3 x 1/4-inch strips cooked ham (about 2/3 pound)
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen peas, thawed and drained
- 1 box (12 oz) fettuccine
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Heat broiler. Melt ¼ cup unsalted butter in a 5-quart saucepan over medium-high heat
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large white onions
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 3 cans condensed beef broth (10.5 oz ea)
- 1 broth can of water
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 1/3 cup garlic-flavored croutons
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
