Soak beans in filtered water overnight
- 1/2 lb borlotti or navy beans; soak overnight
- 8 oz tomato paste (not passata)
- 1 whole large onion; finely diced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 sprigs basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 cups filtered water
- 3 tablespoons olive or sunflower oil
- 2 tablespoons molasses
Mexican Casserole

In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute chicken in oil until cooked through and no longer pink inside
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3/4 pound cubed skinless, boneless chicken breast meat
- 1/2 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 3/4 cup diced carrot
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic

- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
