Homemade French Onion Dip

Heat oven to 425°. Toss quartered onions with 2 tbsp
- 4 medium yellow onions (2 quartered lengthwise, 2 finely chopped)
- 1 cup olive oil Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Hot sauce, such as Tabasco, to taste
- 4 scallions, minced
- Cut raw vegetables, such as cucumber, carrot, and cauliflower, for serving
Chocolate Mini Chip Holiday Cut Out cookies

Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 t. vanilla extract
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (12 ounce package) Semi-sweet Mini Chocolate Chips, divided
- 1 container (16 ounces) prepared vanilla frosting
Grilled Honey-Glazed Pork Chops

1. Cut 2 slits about 2 inches apart through fat and connective tissue around outside of each chop
- 4 (10-ounce) bone-in pork rib or center-cutchops , about 1 inch thick, trimmed
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Slow Cooker Mexican Soup

Put the chicken in a slow cooker
- 3 boneless, skinless whole chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- One 28-ounce can whole or diced tomatoes, with juice
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth (more if you like the soup more liquid)
- One 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
- One 10-ounce can diced tomatoes with green chiles, such as Ro*tel
- 4 ounces tomato paste
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo (you may add 2 to 3 if you like)
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- Fixings: avocado, sour cream, grated cheese, crushed tortilla chips and fresh cilantro leaves

Put a 9-inch springform pan in the freezer for 15 minutes
- 2 1 1/2-quart containers vanilla ice cream
- 1 9-ounce package chocolate wafers (such as Nabisco Famous)
- 1 7-to-8-ounce bottle chocolate shell ice cream topping
- 1 1 1/2-quart container chocolate ice cream
- 5 cups whipped cream
- Rainbow sprinkles, for decorating (optional)

- 2 cups (12 ounce package) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, divided
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. ground ginger
- 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
- 3 T. butter, softened
- 3 T. granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 container (16 ounces) prepared vanilla frosting, or homemade frosting

- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef chuck (20% fat)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 1 poblano chile, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups crushed tomatoes
- Kosher salt
- 1/2 cup chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 5 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 8 corn tortillas
- 1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- Pico de Gallo
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
